A Movement for Change
We are a network of healthcare providers and advocates dedicated to addressing Canada’s rural physician shortage. Rural, remote, and Indigenous communities deserve access to healthcare, and we are committed to making it a national priority.
Our Mission
Raise Awareness
There is a shortage of rural physicians, which is having a critical impact on rural, remote, and Indigenous communities. People need to recognize the crisis we are in.
Advocate for a National Strategy
The SRPC is calling on the federal government to develop a comprehensive national rural health strategy to address this crisis.
Equip Healthcare Providers, Patients, and the General Public
Our campaign supports physicians and encourages patients and the general public to take action. We provide tools, including sample letters and other resources, to assist in their advocacy efforts with government officials, healthcare leaders, and other decision-makers.
Together, we can ensure that rural, remote, and Indigenous communities receive the healthcare they need.
